Glen Scotia Distillery, Campbeltown
Founded in 1832, Glen Scotia is one of only three remaining distilleries in Campbeltown, a town on Scotland's Kintyre Peninsula that was once the whisky capital of the world.
Its whiskies are prized for their distinctive coastal character: briny and maritime with a gentle peatiness that reflects Campbeltown's rugged seaside setting.

GlenDronach Distillery, Aberdeenshire
GlenDronach was founded in 1826 by James Allardice, who was granted one of Scotland's first distillery licences, and is nestled in the Valley of Forgue in the Eastern Highlands of Aberdeenshire.
The distillery's defining characteristic is its exclusive use of high-quality Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, making it one of the last bastions of traditional sherry maturation in Scotch whisky and the spiritual home for lovers of richly sherried single malts.

WHAT'S IN MY TUMBLER?

I'm not a critic.
I'm a fellow drinker.

What's in my Tumbler? started as a way to keep notes on the bottles that I enjoyed over the past few years. Whisky that made me want to reach for a pen. No gatekeeping, no jargon for its own sake, no agenda beyond the glass in front of me.

Every review is honest and written from the perspective of someone who simply loves good whisky.
